price this, you must....

ok this picture is just like a few i have done. each one is original, not a print. the art in the eye is also original as well. My problem is i don't have a clue to what they are worth or more to the point what i should put on them for the price. As it stands i have $5 minimum bid and a quick sell price of $10. to me its really worth only the $5 buck only. I have been told a few formulas for pricing art. To me they are not worth that much or the price got to a point that it would have been better to sell them in a gallery.... ($250 for a 3 inch art piece) i will just have to test the waters on sells. me if i make enough to pay my art panel or even another package of polaroid film i would be happy. not that i am looking at selling much art to begin with. (my depression way of looking at things so i don't become depressed, i know in my mind it works tho....) I'm still setting up art tho and thats the important thing. i have pushed my self to a point that i am very uncommfortable yet i still am going through it...

Pricing is an odd thing... At the cons, for my 2.5 x 3 originals pieces matted to 5x7, I set a $10 min bid and a $20 quick sale. Another theory is $1 per square inch, in which case your 3x3 would be $9 min bid. Also, don't expect to sell everything. Set your prices so that if you sell only one or two, you'll pay for your panel space. Never apologize for your art... or your prices...

i'm sticking with what i have priced them at. I really feel they are not really going to sell at a large price. may be if i become bigger it will. So for now i will leave it at what i have done them upr fo....

Con sales are weird, too. For the polaroid-art, I think an art gallery would serve you better. At con art shows, I think most of the buyers are looking for representational fantasy/sf art, rather than "things that look cool".

The Precious Moments pieces, though, I can definitely see selling at the con. :)
