and here is where i bring it down a notch

A friend come out of the closet 15 years ago. Recently he stated that he was not bullied at school and other stuff. it got me to thinking. Neither was I. I'm a lucky person. Others not so much. People are still hated/beaten or killed for many reasons. Gender, sexuality, race, social circles, and other stuff.

I have been out of the bisexual closet for years, and i recently found the other doors in my closet. I'm glad to have figured out who i am and that others are accepting of me. Sadly there are others who still hide. To them i want to say...

It does get better. I'm not going to say that it will happen over night, but it will get better. People will learn that you are a good person inside. Till then please remember those that have come before us that have paved the way for us to be us... no matter what that may be...

It is a play on some thing John Waters said once. He was talking about "bears" (hairy gay males not the animals :) and how he thought it was hard for them to come out of the second closet. Not only are you gay, you are in to hairy men....

And I want to state-- Sometimes there are more bigoted regions compared to others. In a slightly more urban area, there might be an indifference to one coming out. In a region that is geographically located to the south a bit, or certainly more rural, there may be more of an influence of bullying and/or that mindset against anybody that is "different."

Myself, I commend you on this this step forward in your own human development. For a moment, I just thought you were doing something different with your hair. :-P

i agree with you. I'm particularly glad to have lived in a area that is a little more tolerant than other places.

Yep definitely doing different things with the hair. LOL
